Sweating can be a sign of a good workout. However, if you’re dripping in body juice at that moment in time, you’re not going to look that appealing to anybody--not to mention that you’re not going to feel too comfortable, particularly if you’re not finished with your workout. But don’t let a ton of sweat and strong BO bring you down. Here are two ways to keep the sweat under control.
WEAR A SWEAT-FRIENDLY SHIRT
Our friends over at Brooks recently released a shirt that ensures dry, thermally balanced comfort, whether you’re bench-pressing barbells or running like a speed demon on the treadmill. The collection was inspired by cities that are rich in marathon history: New York, Berlin, Tokyo, Paris and London.
WATCH THE ROOM TEMPERATURE
Fitness experts, such as 2006 NSCA Personal Trainer of the Year Michael Seril, say that 68 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit is the optimal temperature for working out indoors. "If you’re exercising in your home or at the gym at a temperature of roughly 70 degrees, there’s nothing wrong with aiming for a good sweat by getting your heart rate up."
